Solar module maker Heliene plans to open a 100MW module production factory in Riviera Beach, Florida. This facility will be its second factory in the U.S. and the third in North America as it already designs and produces solar modules in Minnesota and Ontario, Canada.
According to the Canadian-based company, the new facility will be capable of manufacturing super high-efficiency” heterojunction solar cell modules for residential and commercial applications, the only one in the U.S. to do so. The almost 7,000 sq metres facility will manufacture 66-cell, 370W heterojunction modules. The company expects to start operations in the facility next month. The facility will provide over 60 manufacturing, maintenance, engineering and logistics jobs, the company added.
