Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has commenced the distribution of 10,000 meters in Osun state under the National Mass Metering Program (NMMP). The Head Metering, IBEDC Engr, Adewale Obajemu said, the meters will be distributed at no cost to the consumers.
“The 10,000 meters distribution (Phase Zero) is what we have started in Osogbo and customers are to know that they are not to pay any money to anybody or pay any charges for the meters,” he said.
Also at the event was the Regional Head, IBEDC Mr Akin Ogunleye who said the metering program will stop the estimated billing. He also appealed to the recipients not to tamper with the meters.
