Spanish energy utility Iberdrola has commissioned its 328MW Ceclavin solar PV farm in the Spanish region of Extremadura. TOver the past couple of months, Iberdrola has invested about €250 million ($297.2m) and commissioned several solar power plants.
This addition raises the company’s operational PV capacity to about 1,000MW in the Iberian country. In addition, the Ceclavin plant will supply some of its output power purchase agreement (PPA) to French telecom group Orange for its operations in Spain.
Iberdrola states that it is also developing another group of solar projects with a total capacity of 1,200MW and has plans to reach 4,900MW of total PV capacity by 2025.
