Ikeja DisCo to Install 106,000 Meters Under NMMP

Ikeja Electric has said it will commence the installation of free meters under the National Mass Metering Program. The Head of Corporate Communications, Felix Ofulue confirmed the development in a statement issued on Sunday.

According to Mr Ofulue, a total of 106,000 meters will be installed for free in the first phase of the program. He assured customers that the meters are free of charge. Speaking on the installation drive, he also warned the beneficiaries not to make any payments for meters to staff of Ikeja Electric or Meter Asset Provider (MAP).

Mr. Ofulue also encouraged customers to register for the meters. “All those who are yet to register are enjoined to visit map.Ikejaelectric.com to complete their registration, as soon as possible”, he said. He also stated that without the registration for meters, customers will be unable to receive free meters. “Please note that we will not be able to meter you without a complete registration”, he said.
