India Calls for Tenders for 735MW of Solar Capacity

  • The project will be developed using domestically manufactured solar cells and modules.
  • The tender will auction off three blocks of solar PV capacity at 245MW.

India owned energy producer NTPC has started bidding for 735 MW grid-connected solar capacity at the Nokh Solar Park in Rajasthan. NTPC intends to auction off three blocks of 245 MW to multiple bidders in single and multiple blocks.

According to NTPC, project development will use Indian manufactured cells and modules. The contract will cover the design, engineering, installation, and commissioning of the solar plants. Winning developers are expected to detail their operation and maintenance services for periods of three years.

To be eligible;e, developers must possess renewable energy development /EPC contract experience, with a minimum 40 MWp of grid-connected solar capacity under their belts. Developers must have developed a minimum of 10 MWp of solar PV capacity.
