India’s Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd has won a significant contract worth INR 5.48 billion for a solar project. The agreement, awarded by a domestic utility, covers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.
The project, with a 335 MW to 412 MWp capacity, will be executed turnkey. It is expected to be operational by December 2024, according to the Letter of Award (LOA).
Waaree will manage the photovoltaic (PV) complex under a two-year operations and maintenance (O&M) agreement worth INR 68 million upon completion.
This contract boosts Waaree’s unexecuted order book to 1.16 GW. Previously, in November 2022, the company secured an INR 1.83 billion deal for a 70 MW DC solar PV capacity project.
