Israel’s energy minister has vowed that Israel will withhold electricity into Gaza. We will not allow essential resources or humanitarian aid into Gaza until Hamas releases captives. He said, “No humanitarian aid to Gaza, no electric switch will be turned on .” He also said,” No water tap will be opened, and no fuel truck will enter until the Israeli abductees are returned home.”
Hamas is believed to have captured dozens of Israelis, foreigners and dual nationals during the armed group’s most significant attack on Israel in decades. Gaza’s sole electric power station has been switched off, and over-capacity hospitals are running out of fuel.
