Takara Leben Co Ltd, a Japanese real estate firm, has completed a 14 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Tottori prefecture, Japan.
The solar park is named Leben Solar Tottori Daisen Power Plant, and it is expected to generate 16.5 million kWh of electricity annually. The power output from the plant will be capable of meeting the demand of 4,800 local homes.
The solar park sits on a 254,645 sq m area in the district of Saihaku municipality. It is currently the largest power plant developed by the Takara Leben in the Chugoku region.
Takara Leben’s Director, COO and Executive VP, Shimizu Kazutaka, noted that the company has delivered around 310 MW of solar facilities, including those already sold, by March 2022. The executive added that the executive added, the firm intends to develop power plants that are not only under the feed-in-tariff (FiT) system, but that can also be traded under power purchase agreements (PPAs).
