The Commissioner for Information, Mr Sagir Musa, has revealed the approval of N173 million by the Jigawa State Government for healthcare and infrastructure upgrades after a meeting in Dutse. The allocation involves installing a Solar Mini-Grid at Dutse General Hospital, aligning with Governor Umar Namadi’s goal of upgrading healthcare across the state.
In addition to the solar mini-grid, N324.8 million will fund water supply projects in 33 towns, focusing on small towns across 14 constituencies. The approval also includes setting up a fumigation chamber at the Maigatari Export Processing Zone. This is to improve hibiscus production quality to meet NEPC export standards. These actions demonstrate the government’s commitment to advancing healthcare, infrastructure, and agriculture in Jigawa State.
