In one of its franchise states, Sokoto, Kaduna Electric will host a three-day consumer interactive session organised by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). The sessions will be at Dankani Guest Palace Hotel, Kalambaina Road, Sokoto, from June 21, to Thursday, June 23.
Aisha Mahmud, the commissioner for consumer affairs, will head the NERC team to the event, and Engr. Yusuf Usman Yahaya, the managing director of Kaduna Electric, will lead the company’s senior management.
Presentations by NERC on the Rights and Obligations of Electricity Consumers are anticipated, while Kaduna Electric will promote its metering scheme to customers during the sessions. Additionally, a desk for handling client complaints will be established. Before the interactive sessions, the NERC Commissioner and the Managing Director will also participate in a live radio show to educate listeners on matters about the electricity sector.
Customers are welcome to participate in the interactive sessions where business representatives will be on hand to answer their issues and concerns, according to Abdulazeez Abdullahi, head of corporate communication at Kaduna Electric.
