Kaduna Electric appeals to the NLC.
- Urges the NLC and Kaduna State Government to resolve issues amicably.
The electricity distribution company Kaduna Electric has urged the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Kaduna State Government (KDSG) to find ways to resolve their issues amicably to shelve the planned strike.
The NLC had planned strike action in the state following the state government’s decision to lay off workers. The NLC, while urging economic activities to be shut down by Monday, referred to the state government’s announcement as part of anti-worker policies.

Kaduna Electric, however, made an appeal to both parties through its Head, Corporate Communications, Abdulazeez Abdullahi. He said, ‘Kaduna Electric is keenly observing the ongoing negotiations between the Kaduna State Government and the NLC to averting the planned shutdown of the state. As key stakeholders, we are deeply concerned and hope that the talks will yield positive outcomes that will guarantee no one suffers unduly in the event of a strike.’
