- Kartel Energy Limited has launched Ensky Solar street lighting and the GenixGreen and Luxxwatt lithium battery series to expand clean energy access in Nigeria.
- The new solutions target residential, commercial and industrial users seeking alternatives to unreliable grid power and diesel generation.
Kartel Energy Limited has launched two new energy solutions, Ensky Solar and the GenixGreen and Luxxwatt Lithium Battery Series. The company aims to help close Nigeria’s widening electricity access gap.
The Nigerian original equipment manufacturer unveiled the products at the Powerelec Nigeria Exhibition 2026 in Lagos. The company described the launch as a major step in delivering reliable, sustainable, and clean energy solutions tailored to Nigeria’s needs, according to a statement released on Wednesday, February 11.
Speaking at the event, Kartel Energy’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ola Ogunsemowo, said the Ensky Solar range provides high-quality, affordable, and durable solar street lights. The systems include motion sensors, integrated solar panels, and high-brightness LED bulbs.
“These street lights deliver strong performance,” he said. “They offer 48-hour battery life, IP65 weather resistance, and 6,500-lumen brightness. Prices start at competitive rates, with warranties ranging from two to three years.”
The company also introduced GenixGreen and Luxxwatt. These are specialised power-technology brands designed to meet advanced battery and energy storage needs across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Both brands use high-performance lithium battery technology. However, the company positions them to serve different power demands and use cases across Nigeria.
Additionally, Ogunsemowo explained that GenixGreen focuses on high-voltage battery systems of up to 768V. The company designed these systems for commercial and industrial applications.
These applications include factories, industrial facilities, estates, institutions, and large developments. These environments also require high load capacity, scalability, and intelligent power management.
According to him, GenixGreen systems support large energy demands. They also help reduce reliance on diesel generators.
Luxxwatt focuses on low-voltage lithium systems. The company designed these solutions for homes, SMEs, retail outlets, clinics, schools, and small- to mid-scale institutions.
The solutions prioritise stability, durability, and affordability. This approach makes clean energy more accessible for everyday Nigerian use.
“Together, GenixGreen and Luxxwatt complement Ensky Solar,” Ogunsemowo said. “They cover the full spectrum of power conversion and storage needs. This allows Kartel Energy to deliver solutions ranging from entry-level residential systems to large-scale industrial deployments.”
He reiterated the company’s focus on local realities. Meanwhile, he said the company engineers and builds solutions specifically for Nigeria. He also noted the country’s unreliable grid and frequent power outages.
Kartel Energy said it has already powered more than 150,000 homes and businesses nationwide. The company plans to expand through strategic partnerships and the launch of the Kartel Energy Academy.
In addition, the company mentioned that it has built nationwide trust through solar inverters, lithium battery systems, and solar panels. The company engineered these systems to perform under grid instability, voltage fluctuations, and high ambient temperatures. This strengthens Kartel Energy’s position as a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions in Nigeria.
