Kia Launches Electric Vehicles in Middle East, Africa

Kia Middle East & Africa has launched its all-electric vehicles, the Kia EV9, EV6, and concept EV5. The launching occurred at the Geneva International Motor Show in Doha, Qatar, hosted at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre from October 5 to October 14, 2023. Marking a significant milestone as the region’s first dedicated electric vehicle, the sustainable mobility solutions provid­er invited media attendees and VIP customers to test drive the vehicles at the event.

A statement by the Marketing Manager, Kia Nigeria, Jomoh Olawale, said that the media also had a chance to experience the new, all-electric EV9 and EV6 models across various sce­nic locations. These locations include Doha’s most sustainable smart city, Msheireb Downtown Doha, Katara Cultural Village, and Al Bayt Stadium on Oc­tober 7. Furthermore, he shat another dedicated event also took place exclusively for Kia’s VIP customers on October 8. This includes visiting Kia’s booth at the show, promising an immersive and premium experience.

The Vice President of Commercial Operations at Kia Middle East & Africa, Yaser Shabsogh, described the occasion as momentous for the auto company as it unveiled its latest all-electric ve­hicles, the Kia EV9 and EV6. He maintained that Kia aligned its strategic vision with regional government objectives. In addition, he said that the firm is tailoring solutions to meet specific requirements and evolving customer needs.
