Independent Power Producer (IPP) Kibo Energy is taking over a solar project in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The project, which Broomfield International previously developed, involves the construction of a 100MWp solar photovoltaic power plant in several phases.
Kibo will implement a solar project in Zimbabwe. The deal is worth £10 million.
The project is being implemented in several 25MWp phases, the first of which has already been financed and is in the construction phase. According to Kibo Energy’s plans, the first 5MW of the plant will be fed into the Zimbabwean national grid from April 2022. The remaining 20MW will be operational by December 2022.
