The Kogi State government has pledged to spend N33 million to provide roads and electricity to three communities. The benefiting communities include Odu-Ajaruwaeke, Odu-Ikaka and Harmony from Dekina and Ajaokuta Local Councils. The projects would be executed under the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP).

During the presentation of cheques to the communities, the Governor, Yahaya Bello, said his administration would continue to fund the agency to enable it to provide necessary amenities in communities across the state. The Auditor General of the state, Yakubu Okala, represented the governor and urged the communities to ensure the safety of the infrastructures to attract more government patronage.

Also, the General Manager of Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Chief Dauda Momoh,  said the projects would bring rapid development to the communities noting that these projects would be the second to be funded by the state government after the closing of the World Bank funding for CSDP last year. He added that the first ten community development projects have been completed and are fully used across the state.
