LanzaTech UK approves a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in Port Talbot. Neath Port Talbot Council planning committee unanimously approves. Expect to create over 150 full-time jobs, including 85 skilled roles on-site.

Jim Woodger, LanzaTech UK Ltd. managing director, expresses delight. The approval marks a crucial step for ‘Project Dragon’ and highlights Port Talbot’s green industry potential. Conduct extensive consultations with key stakeholders, including the public.

LanzaTech pledges ongoing support for the local community, including apprenticeships and charity partnerships. Construction is scheduled for winter 2024, and production will begin in 2026. Timetable depends on securing legislation, investment, and offtake agreements. LanzaTech UK Ltd., a LanzaTech Global, Inc. subsidiary, leads in carbon recycling.
