- TCN announces power outages in Lekki Phase 1 on July 20
- The power outage is due to preventive maintenance on Ajah/Lekki 330kV transmission line
According to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), some electricity consumers will be without power for seven hours on Wednesday, July 20. The agency said in a statement on Tuesday that the outage would impact Lekki Phase 1, Oniru, Elegushi, Waterfront, Igbo Efon, and Twenty-first Century Estate.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby inform the general public that there will be a power outage on its Ajah/Lekki 330kV transmission line on Wednesday, July 20 2022, between the hours of 10:00 AM – 05:00 PM,” the notice reads. “This is to enable the annual preventive maintenance on the line bay at Lekki Transmission Substation.” About 50MW will be interrupted during the maintenance.
