Sunon Asogli set to enter the industry
- Negotiates power deal with the Liberian Government
- Suggests three options for investment
The Liberian private Independent Power Producer (IPP) Sunon Asogli is set to invest in the Liberian power sector. This comes as the delegation from the company met with members of the Liberian government to discuss investment plans.
Member of the delegation and Co-Founder Togbe Afede made while speaking at the meeting, suggested three pathways for entry into the market. The first is to acquire a stake in the 88MW Mt Coffee Hydropower plant in Liberia; the Second is to expand the existing capacity by 60MW and lastly is the construction of a new power plant.
Mr. Afede further explained the importance of his company’s interest in investing in the Liberian power sector. He added that the investment will help improve the output and infrastructure of the Liberian electricity supply industry.
