UK-based Low Carbon Investment Management has acquired a 30MW wind farm project in Finland. The wind farm is the investment firm’s first deal in the Finnish renewable energy market. The Morknasskogen wind project will be deployed near the city of Vaasa on Finland’s west coast. The construction of the park will commence in early 2022 and will comprise five turbines. The plant is expected to generate about 100GWh of electricity annually, enough to supply over 30,600 households. The park will also reduce emissions by over 24,700 tonnes yearly.
The European infrastructure and energy financier, Kommunalkredit Austria AG, will provide a €5.6million ($6.6m) warehouse loan facility and a €19 million construction bridge financing for the project.
