Mega Wind Project to be Developed in Finland by 2025

  • 1.5 GW wind farm projects to be developed in Finland.
  • New EUR 1.5 billion Investments are expected to flow into the country.

Enersense International Oyj, a Finnish infrastructure company, has revealed that Megatuuli, its wind power company, has agreed with Valorem, a French renewables company, for the development of 1.5 GW wind farm projects in Finland by 2025.

The 1.5 GW includes projects that are already being constructed and new prospects by both Valorem and Megatuuli. The agreement dubbed a “mutual cooperation agreement”, has a three-year limit, according to Enersense. Enersense also expects an influx of new investments totalling about EUR 1.5 billion into Finland based on the vast project.

Megatuuli, a greenfield wind power developer, became a subsidiary of Enersense on February 1, 2022, upon finalising the acquisition of Megatuuli. The partnership between Megatuuli and Valorem includes collaboration on the operational Saunamaa wind farm and Kalistanneva and Matkussaari wind projects in Finland.
