FG inaugurated the power project at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- The contract had been delayed for 10 years.
- Contract row faulted for the delay.
On Monday, in Abuja, the Federal Government inaugurated a power project at the ministry of foreign affairs. The project was delayed for ten years. The reason being litigation issues between the contractor and sub-contractors.
Speaking at the inauguration, the minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, said it was a long ten years of suffering for members of the ministry. He added that the court cases between the contractors are still on.
He added that with the project, the ministry will be more productive. He said, “So, this is going to be a game-changer; a new ministry, a bright new day: bright literally and figuratively.”
