- NDDC donates 1,000KVA power plants to Niger Delta University.
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has announced the donation of a 1000kVA power plant to the Niger Delta University (NDU) on Wilberforce Island in Amassoma. The plant was commissioned by the Bayelsa state governor, Douye Diri.
During the occasion, Diri acknowledged the NDDC management for issuing the contract for the power plant and the 500-bed dormitory. The Commission was also congratulated by his deputy, Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor, for donating a 36-seater Coaster bus to the state’s top university.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Samuel Edoumiekumo, also expressed gratitude to the NDDC for providing the power plant, Coaster Bus, and the awarding of the 500-bed project.
