- NDPHC to complete abandoned projects
- Alaoji, Egbema, Gbarain and Omoku plants listed

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has announced plans to complete stalled projects. These projects amount to, 2000MW combined generation capacity.
The generation plants which will benefit from the plans include, Egbema, Gbarain, Alaoji and Omoku power plants. Rockson Engineering Ltd was awarded the contract for the construction of the power plants. The failure to complete the project led to the cancellation of the contract.
The Executive Director, Generation, NDPHC, Engr Kassim Abdullahi speaking on the projects said, “In the short term, we will engage the right EPC contractors to make sure we complete them”. Speaking further he said, “the aim is to make these power plants available and also ensure speedy engagement with the right government agencies for the evacuation of power from the plants”.
