The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has officially transferred the responsibility of regulating the electricity market to the Niger State Electricity Regulatory Commission (NSERC). This significant move was announced by Abdullberqy Usman Ebbo, the Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy to the Governor of Niger State, through his social media platform, X.

The announcement marks a new chapter in the state’s approach to managing its energy resources and brings it a step closer to achieving greater control over its electricity infrastructure.

Governor Mohammed Bago expressed that this transition represents a significant victory for the people of Niger State.
