Saudi Arabia’s National Housing Company (NHC) has started work on the Sadayem Power Substation Project in northern Jeddah, partnering with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).

The project stems from an agreement between the two entities, who will ensure the highest engineering standards through technical and engineering support throughout the process.

The Sadayem Destination covers 3.8 million square meters near the Red Sea coast. It promises future development and introduces a modern lifestyle concept with 8 kilometres of green corridors.

NHC is developing the substation on a 4,500-square-meter plot, investing more than SAR271 million ($72 million). The project includes 13 kilometres of electrical lines to supply power to over 8,000 homes, accommodating about 45,000 residents. The substation will ensure efficient electricity distribution across the area.

The Saudi Electricity Project Development Company will manage every phase of the project. NHC aims to enhance the local electrical network and deliver reliable power services to the Sadayem Destination.

NHC prioritises the highest safety and quality standards throughout the project. By building this substation, NHC directly supports northern Jeddah’s infrastructure, meeting the growing demand for energy as the population expands.

The project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which focuses on sustainable development and modern, energy-efficient communities. NHC aims to drive urban growth by developing the necessary infrastructure for the area.

NHC and SEC are working together to ensure the power infrastructure meets the region’s future needs. The Sadayem Power Substation will serve as a critical component of the urban development in northern Jeddah.

The company also plans to continue developing infrastructure that supports the growing residential community in Sadayem Destination. This project will attract new residents and investments to northern Jeddah.

NHC and SEC share a vision of improving the power network in the region. Working together will create a sustainable and reliable energy supply to meet the increasing population’s needs.

As the project advances, NHC will provide updates on key milestones. They remain committed to delivering the project on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
