Nhoa Energy, a unit of Nhoa SA, formerly Engie EPS, has commissioned a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a more than 120 MWh capacity in Yilan County, Taiwan.
The facility was also built for Taiwan Cement Group (TCC Group) within the SuAo plant, marking the latest project realised by Nhoa’s parent company.
Nhoa Energy has about 2 GWh of BESS in operation and under construction across five continents. In Asia alone, it has so far commissioned 550 MWh of systems.
Furthermore, Nhoa Energy executive vice president of global markets Lucie Kanius-Dujardin stated, “As countries across Asia invest heavily in clean energy to meet their climate targets and reduce dependence on fossil fuels, Nhoa Energy’s projects exemplify the critical role of innovative energy storage solutions.”
