- Eko DisCo urges customers to report equipment tampering
- Vandalism remains one of EKEDC’s biggest challenges
- Perpetrators will face the law
The General Manager, Corporate Communications of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), Godwin Idemudia, has urged customers to report cases of equipment vandalism. He made the call in a statement on Monday. Idemudia stated the vandalism has resulted in the slow progression service delivery to customers of EKEDC.
”It is really appalling that while we are working tirelessly to ensure we make the required progress in ensuring that we deliver our goal of supplying our customers with safe, reliable and uninterrupted power supply, some unscrupulous elements in the society are sabotaging those efforts by vandalising the equipment meant to serve our customers,” Idemudia said.
Idemudia stated that perpetrators caught will face the full wrath of the law. ”Such acts are against the progress we are making and we will go the full extent of the law to ensure the perpetrators faced the full wrath of law,” he said.
”We appeal to our esteemed customers and the public to join us in this fight and report suspicious activities around our equipment to enable us serve them better. Customers can also report at any of our offices close to them.” Idemudia said.
EKEDC seeks the support of its customers for effective service delivery.
