FEC approved the extension of Transmission lines
- The lines will cover communities in Imo and Abia states
- Also approved is the reconstruction of some sub-stations
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the extension of Power Transmission Lines to several communities in Abia and Imo states. The Minister of Power, Sale Mamman announced on his Twitter account. The Council also approved the reconstruction of substations in Kanye, Bichi, and Zaki-Biam.
“Yesterday, the @NigeriaGov approved the extension of ‘Power Transmission Lines’ to cover various communities of Abia & Imo States. Also approved is the reconstruction of Substations in Bichi, Kanye, and Zaki-Biam”. The Minister tweeted, “Once completed, these projects shall help to expand the National grid and improve our ability to deliver electricity to Nigerians. The Transmission Company of Nigeria shall immediately kick-off the procurement processes for these projects”, he added.
The FEC meeting held yesterday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
