- Engr Dr Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz has been confirmed as the MD/CEO of TCN.
President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed Engr. Dr Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). This confirmation takes effect from the 4th of April 2022.
Prior to his confirmation, Engr Dr Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz served as the Acting Managing Director of TCN handling the overall supervision of the transmission company of Nigeria. Under his supervision, TCN recorded several achievements in projects execution and delivery, stable grid management, and human resources management that optimized personnel performance and productivity.
TCN’s success in areas of projects execution and delivery before his confirmation is attributable to good leadership and a determined focus on grid expansion, rehabilitation, and maintenance. He also focused on stability and reliability in the transmission of bulk power in the country, through the systematic implementation of the flagship strategy program- The Nigeria Electricity Grid Maintenance, Expansion and Rehabilitation Program (NEGMERP).
Engr. Dr Sule guided the execution of capital and reinforcement projects across the transmission regions in the country while still giving priority to the maintenance of the existing infrastructure.
