HoR to restore supply to 70 communities
- NPDC proposal approved for implementation
- Over 100,000 to benefit from the project
The House of Representatives (HoR) has made known plans to restores 70 communities to electricity supply, says the House Representative of Ovia Federal Constituency Dennis Idahosa.
Mr Idahosa also expressed delight at the approval of a proposal to the Nigerian Petroleum Development Commission (NPDC). He also added that the project would benefit over 100,000 households. ”I was shocked to discover that the communities have been in darkness for five years. I was compelled to do all it took to restore electricity to the area, and the good news is that I have been able to get NPDC to begin the process of restoring electricity to the affected communities, and the project has been awarded”, Idahosa said.
Gelegele, Igbine, Urokpokpo and Ukoro, among other communities, would benefit from the project.
