Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has reached an agreement with the Nigerian Institute of Power Engineers (NIPE) Ibadan Chapter on the need for further development of the power sector. The discussions held at the Head Quarters of the IBEDC when the NIPE, Ibadan Chapter paid a courtesy call to the IBEDC.
The Executive members of the Ibadan Chapter of NIPE led by Mr. Folarin Bello, while visiting the IBEDC met with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Engr. John Ayodele. Mr. Folarin stated that the reason for the visit was to seek ways of collaborating with IBEDC on improvement in service delivery of the Distribution Company (DisCo).
Mr. Ayodele while speaking after the visit said, “The crux of our discussion is how we can collaborate to develop the power sector and I believe NIPE is highly interested in what is happening in the industry”.
The meeting ended with both organisations agreeing to collaborate on sector issues.
