- NERC renews NBET license
- Grants the NBET a three-year license
The application by the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trader (NBET) for a renewal of its operating license was renewed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). The NBET had filed an application with the regulator on 12th February 2021. The Commission had issued a bulk electricity purchase and resale licence to the NBET for a tenure of 10 years in 2011.
Following a stakeholder consultation held by the Commission on n 17th September 2021 in Lagos, the NBET license was renewed for another three years.
