The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has said it would complete the construction of the Lafia substation in September 2021. The Executive Director Networks Mr Ifeoluwa Oyedele disclosed this during a site in Lafia, Nassarawa state. The project, a 330/132/33kV substation, will boost socio-economic activities and attract foreign investors to the state.

Mr Oyedele expressed satisfaction while stating the project was delayed due to the COVID pandemic, but with the contractors’ dedication, the project is currently at 90% completion. “By September, the company would have completed the hook up to the national grid, and the inauguration will take place as soon as the president approves a date”, he said.

Oyedele was accompanied on the site visit by the technical team comprising Head, Transmission, NDPHC Yusuf Yari, among others.
