NIGERIA: Seplat Reiterates Commitment to Improved Gas Utilization

  • Lauds the FG for gas development programmes

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Seplat Energy Plc, Mr Roger Brown, has reiterated the company’s commitment to achieving an improved gas utilisation in Nigeria. Brown also stated that the company would continue to invest in the gas sector in furtherance of the Federal Government’s (FG) gas policy.

Speaking at the 2021 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE), Brown, who was represented by the Executive Director of Operations, Mr Effiong Okon, lauded the FG’s effort in initiating gas projects for the reinforcement of gas development in the country. Applauding the National Gas Expansion Programme, National Gas Transportation Network Code, and Nigeria Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme, Brown stated that these programmes would positively impact the economy.

Mr Brown added that Seplat would continue to do all it can to support the government’s vision for the gas sector.
