- TCN upgrades Kaduna-Jos transmission line
- To complete upgrade on December 15th
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced the final stage of upgrade works on the Kaduna-Jos double circuit transmission line. The TCN made this known in a statement issued by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah.
”On completion, the new 330KV double circuit transmission lines will increase the total capacity of the Kaduna-Jos line from 500MW to 1500MW,” the statement read.
”The completion of the new 330kV Kaduna-Jos DC transmission lines will resolve the present and anticipated increase in load demand on the line route,” TCN noted.
Mbah stated that the reconstruction work would cause load shedding to be implemented from 8 am – 5 pm daily until the completion date, December 15th. TCN expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to electricity customers
