- TCN, World Bank to train 708 engineers
- The trainees to be selected from the TSP
In collaboration with the World Bank, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will train a total of 708 engineers from departments under the Transmission Service Provider. The acting Managing Director/CEO of TCN, Engr Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, who attended the opening session of the training programme said, the training was to expose TCN’s maintenance engineers to facility improvement programmes under the World Bank’s Nigeria Electricity Transmission Project (NETAP) currently being executed in TCN.
Abdulaziz stated that the training would aid the TCN in fulfiling its obligations under the new Service Level Agreement (SLA) and its mandate in the West African Power Pool (WAPP). According to the Executive Director, Transmission Service Provider (TSP) Engr Victor Adewumi, the training exercise would last for two weeks.
