- Engine to ensure a reliable and sufficient supply to Flour Mills Nigeria
Energy technology firm, Wärtsilä is set to supply flexible dual-fuel engines generator sets to agro-allied company Flour Mills Nigeria. Flour Mills Nigeria have previously received two engine orders from the technology firm in March and June. The supply will help Flour Mills Nigeria boost production capacity as well as ensure supply reliability.
The Wärtsilä engines can switch from natural gas to liquid fuel mode while performing at full capability. Energy Business Director for Africa Marc Thiriet has explained the importance of electricity reliability for industrial operations. ”It is always gratifying to receive repeat orders from a customer, not only because it signifies their satisfaction with our solution, but also because it cements the relationship between our companies. Operational flexibility and efficiency, which are features of the Wärtsilä engines, are becoming key issues in energy production, and are especially relevant for production facilities with a critical need for a reliable electricity supply,” said Thiriet.
The engine sets will be delivered in 2021 and are expected to become fully operational in early 2022.
