- Nordex extends partnership with UKA for another two years
- Nordex is already working on the first orders for 100 MW turbines serviced in 2023
Nordex, a German wind turbine manufacturer, announced that it had extended its partnership with UKA for another two years, with a capacity target of 500 MW. In addition, the two companies agreed to a framework agreement to install 80 turbine generators. The turbine nacelles will be manufactured at Nordex’s German facility. Nordex is already working on the first orders for 100MW turbines serviced in 2023.
The two companies began working together in early 2020 when they signed an agreement that allowed UKA to call up turbines totalling more than 300MW for German projects. Nordex supplies and installs the turbines. The first three turbines were delivered in the summer of 2020 for the 13.5-MW Leeskow II & IV wind farm in Lower Lusatia, Brandenburg.
“We have decided to expand our partnership with Nordex due to our outstanding collaboration. In the coming years, we hope to implement many projects with Nordex,” said UKA managing director Gernot Gauglitz.
