Dutch investor Oikocredit injects $2 million into RDG Collective to aid solar photovoltaic system distribution in Zambia. RDG Collective, based in Lusaka, Zambia, supplies solar systems for rural households and promotes productive electricity use. Backed by Oikocredit, RDG aims to grant electricity access to 12,500 low-income Zambians, fostering better living standards and income opportunities.

Established in 2018, RDG has sold 20,000 energy devices, impacting over 100,000 lives and providing employment to over 300. RDG’s solar-powered irrigation and refrigeration systems are aiding Zambia’s electrification, targeting 2.4 million households without electricity.
