PASH Global, an impact investor in renewable energy, has announced a joint venture with Gaborone-based Tswana Renewables to develop distributed clean energy in Botswana. The collaboration has established a project pipeline of 30 MWp of solar PV power for private customers in the country.
The joint venture marks the most comprehensive distributed generation strategy in Botswana. It represents a significant investment in the country’s energy infrastructure, but the economic terms of the collaboration have not been revealed. The first two solar projects of the joint venture are already under construction at Travelodge in Gaborone and Ramotswe in the South-East district.
