Jordan-based solar PV manufacturer Philadelphia Solar intends to construct an up to 1GW solar panel factory in the US to boost the local solar industry. The company believes it can benefit from teh renewed renewable energy drive from the Biden Administration.
Philadelphia Solar, in its statement, says that the output from the facility will majorly cater to local suppliers, distributors, developers and installers, and that the rest will be exported out of the US. The company expects the factory to create between 150 and 250 direct jobs. Philadelphia Solar plans to complete and begin operations in the facility in the third quarter of 2022.
