In the northeastern state of Ceara in Brazil, the Power Building Company of China, popularly known as Powerchina, intends to construct a 343-Megawatt solar park. The local administration revealed last week that the new project would cost BRL 1.8 billion ($337.55m) after a meeting between state officials and Powerchina representatives.
The municipality of Mauriti is expected to start construction on the project in March. According to PowerChina, the solar park will be operational by February 2025. According to the Ceara state government, the Chinese corporation has been operating in the nation since 2006 and has six further projects under development.
