The workshop was organised to prepare the bidders for REF’s second call for bidders.
- The REF aims to increase energy access via the deployment of off-grid solutions.
The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) on the 30th of November organised a workshop for prospective bidders ahead of the second call for bids under the Rural Electrification Fund (REF). The workshop aimed to sensitize and engage Bidders on eligibility and selection criteria.
The workshop which was initially scheduled for 30th of March was moved due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This event was supported by GIZ, Nigeria Energy Support Programme (NESP), and the European Union and held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. By providing qualified bidders with the necessary information required to advance in the tender selection process, REA aims to increase access to finance for many developers.
Interested bidders can find the eligibility requirements on REA’s webpage.
