- The Renewable Energy Authority of Libya (REAoL) visited Infinity renewable energy company in Cairo at the beginning of March.
- The REAoL team also visited the Infinity solar energy stations located in Benban, Aswan, to conduct an in-depth review of the operation and maintenance operations within the solar energy stations.
On Wednesday, Infinity reported that the discussions revolved around the past and current projects of Infinity and Infinity Libya within the commercial and agricultural technology sectors and solar street lighting solutions implemented in Libya, Egypt and Africa. On the sidelines of the visit, the conversation touched on potential projects in Libya in the renewable energies sector. It was suggested to launch a pilot project as a start.
The REAoL team also visited the Infinity solar energy stations located in Benban, Aswan, to conduct an in-depth review of the operation and maintenance operations within the solar energy stations.
Infinity says it is the largest Egyptian shareholder in the Benban Solar Park, with a total capacity exceeding 180 MW. Infinity Libya said it was keen to expand its operations to cover all regions of Libya, which is a vital strategy to help in areas where the electricity network is unstable or non-existent.
