Nearly 55% of disabled adults reported finding it difficult to afford their energy bills, according to the latest survey by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Furthermore, the polling shows that the proportion of all adults struggling with their energy bills has increased throughout the year.
Nearly 45% of all adults who paid energy bills reported the bills being difficult to afford compared to 40% who gave the same answer in the previous wave of the ONS survey (March to June 2022). Around six-in-ten renters find it difficult to afford their energy bills.
