According to Romania’s energy ministry, the country’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan have published a request for proposals for green energy projects worth 457.7 million euro ($510.3 million) with EU co-financing (NRRP).
According to a news release issued by the ministry, solar and wind project applications can be submitted between March 31 and May 31. The maximum amount of aid that can be given to a single investment project is 15 million euros. The amount of state aid awarded under the scheme for wind energy is up to 1.3 million euros per MW for installed capacities between 0.2MW and 1MW and 650,000 euros per MW for over 1MW.
The governmental grant for solar energy is 750,000 euros per MW for installed capacities between 0.2 and 1MW and 425,000 euros per MW for capacities more than 1MW. The NRRP has allocated a total of 1.62 billion euros to energy projects.
Romania benefits from 14.2 billion euros ($16.6 billion) in grants and 14.9 billion euros in loans under the NRRP, which the European Commission approved in September.
