Rubitec Solar has announced the commencement of its first mini-grid design training program for 2022. The training was organised by a partnership with Rubitec, LONGi Solar & Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN).
Through the partnership, LONGi Solar is sponsoring 20 renewable engineers, technicians and entrepreneurs who are either members of the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN) or representatives of renewable energy companies affiliated with REAN who were duly selected after a rigorous process.
According to Rubitec, the training will introduce the LONGi solar products into the Nigerian market and build the competence of/increase entrepreneurial knowledge of these men/women in renewable energy.
The CEO of Rubitec Solar, Bolade Soremekun, noted, “Rubitec is proud to partner with LONGi solar technology LTD and REAN (Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria) in delivering Renewable Energy (RE) training to REAN members.”
Rubitec, through her RUBITECACADEMY subsidiary, has been delivering RE training since 2017. The firm has trained over 300 Nigerians in partnership agreements with government agencies and multi-national groups.
Dr Segun Adaju, President of Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN), stated, “REAN is excited at this opportunity that will upscale the skills of members of the Association. Shortage of manpower is a key challenge faced by the industry, and this training will reduce the gap.”
