Samira Bawumia, Founder of the Africa Women and Children Conference (AFRIWOCC), will open the 2025 Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) Global Forum in Barbados. As a global advocate for sustainable energy, Bawumia will lead discussions to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7): universal access to affordable and clean energy by 2030.
This year’s forum, “Sustainable Energy for Equity, Security, and Prosperity,” will focus on scaling investments, policies, and partnerships in the global energy sector and highlighting the need to expand energy access, meet climate goals, and foster sustainable development, especially for vulnerable populations.
Bawumia will emphasise the critical role of clean cooking solutions in the energy transition.
