Shell Nigeria Gas expands operations as it strengthens its position in Ogun State through a new supply agreement with SG Industrial FZE. The partnership supports growing industrial demand, and the key phrase Shell Nigeria Gas expands operations captures the strategic direction the company is taking. This move highlights Shell’s drive to broaden access to cleaner fuel while helping industries reduce energy costs.

The deal provides SG Industrial FZE, a major steel producer in the Guangdong Industrial Zone, with a consistent gas supply. Consequently, the company expects improved productivity. The agreement also strengthens SNG’s role as a reliable energy partner.

SNG continues to widen its customer base, and it now serves more than 150 clients across several states. These include Abia, Bayelsa, Ogun and Rivers. The company achieves this reach through a growing gas pipeline network that spans about 150 kilometres. It also works closely with NNPC Gas Marketing Limited to deliver dependable services.

At the signing ceremony, SNG Managing Director Ralph Gbobo stated that the agreement aligns with Shell’s mission to support Nigeria’s energy transition. He explained that the company aims to build and operate a transparent and resilient gas distribution system. His remarks underline SNG’s desire to boost industrial growth through cleaner energy.

SG Industrial FZE’s Vice General Manager, Moya Shua, expressed optimism about the partnership. He noted that the collaboration will provide reliable energy for long-term expansion. His comment reinforces the confidence industries have in SNG’s capacity.

SNG, incorporated in 1998, continues to extend access to its natural gas network. It recently connected new customers such as Reliance Chemical Products Limited II, Ultimum Limited, Nigeria Distilleries Limited III and Rumbu Industries Nigeria Limited. These additions reflect SNG’s firm commitment to expanding domestic gas use.

This progress also supports the Federal Government’s Decade of Gas initiative. Thus, SNG’s expansion contributes to national goals aimed at unlocking Nigeria’s vast gas potential.
