The South African Government has announced the launch of a 140MW Roggedveld wind farm located on the boundary of the Northern and Western Cape provinces.
The project milestone formally accomplished on February 26 practically doubles the African Independent Power Producer (IPP). It now has 750MW of renewable energy projects in operation, building, or preferred bidder status across the continent.
Red Rocket and AIIM’s IDEAS Fund own the bulk of the Roggeveld wind farm through a holding company (51% ). Through its IDEAS fund, AIIM (a member of OMAI) sponsored the holding company’s equity investment in the Roggeveld wind farm.
